MALACAÑANG is closely monitoring the situation in the areas around Taal volcano after it erupted on Thursday, Presidential spokesman Harry Roque Jr. said Friday.
Roque made the statement a day after President Rodrigo Duterte joked that he would place a cap on the volcano's crater.
