Because the national emergency declared by President Rodrigo Duterte is still in place, Sen. Juan Edgardo "Sonny" Angara said Thursday that benefits for health frontliners will continue even after the law extending appropriations under the Bayanihan 2 coronavirus response package has expired.
Republic Act (RA) 11519, the law extending the availability of Bayanihan 2 funds, expired on June 30 and along with it, most of the funds allocated for various Covid-19 response activities.
