Index up on improved factory, labor data

Better print of manufacturing and labor data prompted the local bourse to rebound on Thursday, welcoming the second half of the year in the positive territory.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) was up by 0.9 percent or 62.10 points to 6,964.01, while the wider All Shares rose by 0.73 percent or 30.85 points to close at 4,275.43.
