LT. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr., the controversial military officer slammed for "red-tagging" progressive groups, has resigned as one of eight spokesmen of the government's anti-communist task force, which President Rodrigo Duterte accepted.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque told a press briefing on Thursday that he was able to confirm this with Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana.
