While fans might be missing Nadine Lustre, the actress, they are definitely spoilt with project after project from Nadine Lustre, the all-out music performer.
After the release of her highly successful debut solo album 'Wildest Dreams,' which came with a pioneering 'video album' (a superbly produced half-hour audio-video which raked more than 2 million views on YouTube); and a hectic promo tour across various media platforms, Lustre is now prepping for her first ever solo concert, enigmatically titled, 'Absolute Madness.'
Unfolding on the Kumu Live streaming app on July 3, at 7 p.m., Absolute Madness serves as the culminating event of her widely popular debut album, where the artist guarantees an all-new, levelled up experience.
Yes, the bonafide recording artist promises her first foray in the digital concert realm to be just as groundbreaking as her visual album. Absolute Madness, Lustre, says, is 'not just another digital concert' and is poised to become the first of its kind in the Philippines in uniquely blending live concert and theatrical stage play.
Produced by James Reid's Careless Music label and shot by The Finest, first lady of Philippine musical theater,'Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, impressively joins the concert's team as director.
As always, Lustre has been hands-on in conceptualizing, organizing and finally mounting her very first solo concert as with all of her musical endeavors. Rehearsals are, in fact, well underway for concert-cum-theater play, which also features Reid, singer Massiah and multi-awarded dance group A-Team as performers.
'Nadine was instrumental in creating the concept. It was inspired by 'Alice Through The Looking Glass.' She wanted it to encompass a magical land. When I asked her what her idea of refuge or fantasy was, she replied, 'Nature',' noted Lauchengco-Yulo.
The veteran theater stalwart added, 'Being able to collaborate with Nadine and create a totally new concept was incredible. Nadine had all these great ideas, my challenge was to see those ideas through.'
'Top quality'
To do justice to the incredible concept of her concept with an incredible experience for her audience on concert night, Lustre says she simply feeds her creativity nonstop.
'Music is really part of my life,' she declared in a digital interview following her launch as the official brand ambassador of top audio equipment company JBL by Harman.
'In whatever I do, music is always there to accompany me,' she added. 'Like when we go on hikes, we'd always bring our speakers, and for me it will always be JBL because it's just perfect. Especially the one with the light that pulsates-that's actually my favorite and I've had mine for the longest time,' she testified.
As one of the most prolific performers in the country today, this new partnership says a lot in terms of music quality and experience both ways.
'We think Nadine embodies the value of JBL. She loves music, she personifies elegance and a colorful lifestyle. Most of all, she can express the real emotion of a real JBL lover when it comes to sound and design. That's why we are proud to have Nadine in our family,' chimed in Larry Secreto, country head of Harman Singapore-Philippines Rep Office, at the virtual event.
Truly excited to immerse herself in JBL quality, it was officially Lustre's job to launch the company's newest line of sports and lifestyle headphones, which all feature 'true wireless and active noise cancellation technology suited for fitness, professional and everyday use.'
The specs of JBL's all new True Wireless Headphone models are available at jbl.com.ph, and for each one, Lustre guarantees an incredible music experience.
'Just as I promise with Absolute Madness,' she ended.
