Tacloban City: Residents celebrate on Wednesday the 132nd fiesta in honor of Senior Sto. Niño de Tacloban, the patron saint of Leyte. This is the second simple city fiesta celebration in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. The famous Pintados Festival of Festivals and other local celebrations that usually draw thousands of visitors and balikbayans will not be held again. Palo Archbishop John Du will officiate the fiesta mass at the Sto. Niño Church at 9:30 a.m. Naval Bishop Rex Ramirez will officiate another concelebrated fiesta mass at 6 p.m. This year's fiesta theme is: 'Mystery of Divine Intervention and Healing: A Gospel received and the Mission to proclaim it.'
