BACOLOD CITY: Five members of a notorious robbery group escaped from Negros Occidental District Jail in Barangay Tabunan, Bago City at around 1 a.m. on Tuesday.

Lawyer Jairus Anthony Dogelio, spokesperson of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology regional office, identified the escaped prisoners as Francisco Epogon of Barangay Isio, Cauyan; Daniel Tamon of Barangay Kumaliskis, Don Salvador Benedicto; Danilo Celeste of Purok Timawa, Barangay 11, Victorias City; Alejandro Montoya of Purok Tisol, Barangay 11, Victorias City; and Marvin Celeste of Sitio Tima, Barangay 11, Victorias City.
