Creative industries can help drive the country's economic recovery once the pandemic ends, a Cabinet official said on Monday.

"In the wake of Covid-19 (coronavirus disease 2019), we cannot ignore the many opportunities that abound in our creative economy. Not only can it serve as one of the engines for our country's growth, it can assist with our recovery from the challenges brought about by the pandemic," Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said during the "Creative Futures" event.
