'We made our peace'

Actress and TV host Kris Aquino - the most outspoken and often controversial youngest sister of former president Benigno Simeon 'Noynoy' Aquino 3rd - revealed Thursday night that while she and her family were shocked over his sudden death, she is grateful they were able to reconcile their differences shortly before he died.

'This is the only thing I will say: God blessed me because we made our peace May 18, but that is private. And I would like to keep that for myself,' she told members of media who had gathered at the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City, where the former president was cremated.

Aquino’s youngest sister Kris and Vice President Maria Leonor ‘Leni’ Robredo are in a huddle during Robredo’s visit to the wake of the former chief executive at the Church of Gesu in Ateneo de Manila in Quezon City, where the public was allowed to pay their final respects on June 25, 2021.
