1K policemen escort former president Noynoy Aquino to final resting place 

AT least 1,000 policemen were deployed by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) to secure the funeral rites of the late president Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino 3rd on Saturday.

PMGen. Vicente 'Vic' Dupa Danao Jr., NCRPO chief, said that the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), Eastern Police District (EPD), Southern Police District (SPD) and Regional Moblie Force Battalion (RMFB) will escort the convoy from the Church of Gesu at the Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) to the Manila Memorial Park in Paranaque City.

The former chief executive will be buried beside his parents, former president Corazon Aquino and senator Benigno 'Ninoy' Aquino Jr.

Noynoy died on Thursday of renal disease secondary to diabetes. He was 61.

Health protocols stemming from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic will be enforced during the scaled down ceremonies.
