ENVIRONMENTAL groups on Wednesday urged the government to reject moves to legalize garbage incineration as the country marked the 22nd anniversary of the Clean Air Act.
Republic Act (RA) 8749 or the "Philippine Clean Air Act of 1999" prohibited the use of incinerators for waste disposal. A bill pending in Congress, however, seeks to lift the ban.
