Group slams LandBank move on UCPB shares

Coconut farmers are denouncing a prerequisite of Land Bank of the Philippines' (LandBank) acquisition of majority of shares in the United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB).

In a statement on Wednesday, the Confederation of Coconut Farmers' Organizations of the Philippines (Confed) argued that the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' approval of the above-mentioned transaction did not come without a conditionality.
