MONEY sent home by overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) fell to its lowest level in 11 months last April, although it boosted the year-to-date sum.
Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) data released on Tuesday showed that personal remittances - personal transfers in cash or kind and capital transfers between households - totaled $2.57 billion in the fourth month of 2021, down 8.10 percent from $2.80 billion in March but up 13.1 percent from $2.27 billion a year earlier.
