PNP Chief Eleazar receives 1st anti-Covid-19 jab 

GEN. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, the Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, on Tuesday received his first dose of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccine during the simultaneous symbolic inoculation for police who are under the A4 priority group.

In a press briefing at Camp Crame in Quezon City, Eleazar revealed that he was inoculated with Sinovac that was administered by Health Assistant Secretary Maria Francia Laxamana.

So far, the PNP has allotted a total of 500 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, 200 of which will go to senior police officers; 200 to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO); and 50 doses each to the Special Action Force (SAF) and PNP's Aviation Security Group (ASG).

He said that more doses will be supplied to the police force as more vaccines are expected to arrive in the country in the coming months.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque Jr. and the rest of the PNP command group witnessed Eleazar's vaccination.
