SEN. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go said the government was carefully studying and balancing its quarantine policies to protect lives from Covid-19 while improving the situation of the economy as the number of unemployed Filipinos reportedly hit 4.14 million in April.

"If we open the economy, more people will be employed and the livelihood of the Filipinos will be restored," said Go in English and Filipino during his monitoring visit at the Malasakit Center in the Davao Regional Medical Center in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
