MERALCO customers may expect higher electric bills this June as the power distributor announced a slight rate increase, three months after dropping to its lowest level in August 2017.
In a statement on Friday, Meralco said its overall rate will go up by P0.0798 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) or to P8.6718 per kWh. This means a typical household consuming 200 kWh a month may expect to be charged around P16.
