CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro: After 51 new coronavirus infections were reported on Tuesday and 17 on Wednesday, the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (RIATF-EID) approved the recommendation of San Jose Mayor Romulo Festin to put several villages on stricter community quarantine

In a letter to Festin, Department of Interior and Local Government Regional Director Wilhelm Suyko said the request to put certain areas in the town under localized lockdown is granted by the RIATF-EID starting June 10 to June 23.
