In a bid to promote a bike-friendly environment, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo 'Pogi' Lazatin Jr. on Tuesday instructed City Engineer Donato Dizon to start determining areas for the installation of bike lanes in both national and city roads. 'We have seen road obstructions, that is why we will take action on this before moving to our final road markings and installing traffic signages,' Dizon said. He said as soon as the road obstructions are cleared, the construction could start in August and be completed after a month. Once completed, the putting up of bike lanes in other major thoroughfares will start. Through this bike lane initiative, Lazatin encourages his constituents to adopt a healthier lifestyle by using bicycles as an alternative mode of transportation.
