AT least three members of the New People's Army (NPA) were slain during a joint pursuit operation by the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Army in Masbate on Tuesday morning.
BGen. Jonnel Estomo, Bicol police regional director, said that members of various police units and the 2nd Infantry Battalion (2nd IB) and 9th Infantry Division (9th ID) were in Barangay Anas, Masbate City at 5:30 a.m. to serve a warrant of arrest against three NPA suspects facing charges of murder and attempted murder.
