Asean, China agree on self-restraint over disputed sea, to expand vaccine cooperation

CHINA and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) have agreed to exercise self-restraint in the South China Sea (SCS) and vowed to expand vaccine cooperation to address the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

The foreign ministers of China and Asean made the commitment during the Special Asean-China Foreign Ministers' Meeting (SACFMM) in Chongqing, China, on June 7 to mark the 30th anniversary of relations between the region and the communist state.
