Representation issues are not just rife in Hollywood, where more and more, the biggest studios are constantly called out for casting a straight actor for a gay role, making too few movies with black leads, or providing lesser opportunities for female creatives among others.

In almost every movie industry around the world, independent cinema included, there are bound to be similar conflicts where preference is frowned upon by the ever growing woke generation.
