The chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) signified his support for the implementation of the "squad system" which the PNP's Internal Affairs Service (IAS) has deemed effective in monitoring the behavior of police officers during the Covid-19 pandemic.

I agree with what our Inspector-General, Attorney Alfegar Triambulo, said that the squad system has really been a great help in monitoring the behavior and actions of our police, especially in this pandemic)," Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said in a statement on Monday.
