MAHARLIKA Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) commissioner Kenneth Duremdes considered the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) as the role model when it staged a successful bubble tournament last year. It's not surprising the former PBA Most Valuable Player and one of the 25 Greatest Players ever, is using the pro league as its standard in its planned circuit bubble tournament this coming season.
"Bubble tournaments are expensive and the PBA knows that," Duremdes told The Manila Times. "Every four, five days, you need to take saliva test. We want the PBA to lead. Remember, when the PBA did the bubble, we also observed them, and we were able to hold our own bubble (in Subic)."
