Cyberattacks threaten PH, other economies

THE Philippines should review its cybersecurity programs given the increasing frequency of ransomware attacks and similar crimes being committed online. Ransomware attacks around the world rose 62 percent to 304 million incidents in 2020, the highest level in four years, according to Statista, a provider of market and consumer data.
