CELEBRATING World Environment Day this weekend against the backdrop of twin global disruptions - challenging not just our nation but also the globe - is another opportunity to dedicate this column to the Filipino youth.

The Covid-19 pandemic and prevailing climate crises are rooted in the abusive global economic system that is currently in place. It is a system reliant on unsustainable consumption behavior and our continued encroachment with regard to natural resources.
