Health experts urged the government to intensify the regulation on the use of heated tobacco products (HTPs) and electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) among young people by junking House Bill 9007, which allowed the regulation of e-cigarettes and HTPs.
Dr. Ulysees Dorotheo, executive director of the Southeast Asia Tobacco Alliance, said electronic cigarettes, or electronic nicotine delivery system or electronic non-nicotine delivery system (ENDS or ENNDS), as well as heated tobacco products, do not really reduce harm for smokers.
