THE use of face shields in public places against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) should no longer be mandatory, a former Health chief said on Thursday.
In a media briefing, Iloilo First District Rep. Janette Garin said face shields should only be used in hospitals, healthcare facilities, and other crowded indoor settings "where there [are] high transmission rates."
