The support of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) for the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-Elcac) and its programs to develop villages will "deal a big blow" to communist insurgency, its spokesman said.
Interior Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said the PDP-Laban showed its "unprecedented avalanche of support" for the task force when it adopted a resolution backing the retention of the P16.4-billion Barangay Development Program's (BDPs) fund some senators want to be diverted to coronavirus response because of accusations of red-tagging.
