Immigration backs proposal to allow entry of fully vaccinated foreigners

THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) backs the proposal of the Department of Tourism to allow fully vaccinated foreigners to enter the country as part of efforts to revive the moribund tourism industry and reopen the country's borders.

Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente on Thursday said the bureau is ready to set up 'green lanes,' at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and other international ports for vaccinated aliens to pave the way for the reopening of tourist destinations to leisure travelers, should the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) deem it viable.
