Members of the Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) are barred from crossing the intersection of España Boulevard and Blumentritt on June 1, 2021 to protest the one-year implementation of distance learning and demand an increase in teachers' pay. The protesters were headed to the Department of Budget and Management office in San Miguel, Manila when police stopped their motorcade as mass gatherings are prohibited under the health protocols against Covid-19. To prevent the spread of the virus, the Department of Education implemented distance learning among its teachers and students in lieu of face-face classes. Video by: Enrique Agcaoili
