Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian
SEN. Sherwin "Win" Gatchalian sought an inquiry into the reported proliferation of "loan sharks" and other online lending scams as he urged the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) to advice the public against these types of predatory lending.
The senator raised the need to probe the questionable lending schemes of some companies that are not under the supervision of the BSP and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
