A disagreement over the holding of a national assembly by the ruling Partido Demokratikong Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) is threatening to split the party as two of its leaders found themselves on opposite sides regarding the contentious meeting.
Both Sen. Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao, PDP-Laban acting national president, and Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, vice chairman, however, assured that the party remained "united" and dismissed talk of a brewing rift.
