NINE alleged members of a terrorist group in Mindanao have been arrested following an encounter with police in Lanao del Sur, according to a statement released by the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday.

The suspected members of the IS-inspired Dawlah Islamiya-Maute Group were identified as Camaroden Tindug, Sabdullah Sarip, Oter Macaungun, Asnare Alisood, Alisood Dima, Sowaib Abdullah, Saaduden Adapun, Zaenal Abdulatip and Aleem Salih Pitiilan, according to PBrig. Gen. Eden T. Ugale, regional director, in a report to PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar.
