THE Senate has approved on second reading 13 bills sponsored by Sen. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go mandating the construction of more public hospitals across the country.
"We worked hard to pass these measures for the welfare of our poor countrymen," said Go, chairman of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography. He stressed that the need for more health facilities has been highlighted by the challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic.
