It has been said that "true artists never cease to create, continuously amaze and keep sharing their gifts despite barriers...." A genuine creative to the core, multihyphenate artist Celia Diaz Laurel fits neatly into this definition - a 93-year-old narrative incessantly hued with hard work, passion and giving back.
Painter. Celia, a UP Fine Arts graduate trained by National Artist for Painting Fernando Amorsolo, is an accomplished painter. In 2014, she released "The Colors of My Life," which showcased her God-given talent in portraits, still life, nature and landscapes. Now in her early 90s, Celia continues to enrich her oeuvre. In 2019, her recent pieces were displayed at Leon Gallery in Makati as part of "Expressió: A Laurel Family Art Exhibit."
