SEN. Maria Josefa Imelda "Imee" Marcos warned that 23 million voters might be disenfranchised in the May 2022 elections if a bill that seeks to allow vulnerable citizens to vote early is not approved.
The senator pressed for the passage of Senate Bill (SB) 1104, which she filed in 2019 to include more groups eligible for early voting.
