THE government is likely to ease lockdown restrictions in Metro Manila and surrounding provinces after this month, Malacañang said on Thursday, as coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases continue to decline in the area.
Palace spokesman Harry Roque Jr. made the statement after Metro Manila mayors have expressed support for the possible extension of the general community quarantine (GCQ) in the capital region, but with a gradual easing of capacity restrictions for businesses.
