A committee at the House of Representatives on Thursday approved two proposed measures that would increase from five percent to 10 percent the discount granted to senior citizens on power and water bills.
House Bills 1903 and 3040, which were passed by the Committee on Senior Citizens, were filed by Baguio Rep. Mark Go, and Nueva Ecija First District Rep. Estrelita Suansing and Sultan Kudarat Second District Rep. Horacio Suansing, respectively.
