Peace advocate priest succumbs to Covid-19

COTABATO CITY: Peace advocate Fr. Eliseo Mercado Jr. of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate died Sunday afternoon at the Cotabato Regional Medical Center (CRMC), a government Covid-19 treatment facility here.

Mercado, popularly known as Father Jun in Cotabato City, was confined at the CRMC on May 8 after testing positive for Covid-19. He died of cardiac arrest at 3:25 p.m. on Sunday.
