Govt to review Malampaya share sale to Udenna

The government will pore over the recent sale of Royal Dutch Shell PLC's stake in the Malampaya gas project to a subsidiary of Dennis Uy's Udenna Corp., a government official said on Monday.

Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi said once the transaction has been completed at the consortium level, it will still be submitted to the Department of Energy (DoE) for its review and approval in accordance with Presidential Decree 87 or the Oil Exploration and Development Act of 1972.
