Bayad App gets EMI license from BSP

Financial technology firm Bayad said it can now operate as an electronic money issuer (EMI) after securing a license from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

In a statement on Monday, it said the EMI license allows the company to offer e-wallet services through its newly updated all-in-one pera (fund) transaction app, Bayad.
