A member of the House of Representatives' Committee on Health on Thursday pushed for the inoculation of detainees and personnel in local and national jails in an effort to speed up the rollout of vaccines in the country to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

"Here is perhaps the simplest and most efficient set of solutions to avoid wasting the Covid vaccines expiring in June," Misamis Oriental Second District Rep. Juliette Uy said. "Vaccinate all city jail detainees and personnel of the [Bureau of Jail Management and Penology] and the [New Bilibid Prison]."
