The lack of positive cues and Wall Street's overnight performance prompted the main index to drop to the 6,100 level on Thursday.
The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) dipped by 0.77 percent or 48.07 points to its day low of 6,197.64, while the wider All Shares fell by 0.33 percent or 12.59 points to close at 6,197.64.
