Uy's Udenna gains hold of Malampaya gas project

Royal Dutch Shell PLC has divested its 45-percent stake in the Malampaya gas project to Malampaya Energy XP Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Udenna Corp.

Now, the holding company of Davao-based businessman Dennis Uy owns 90 percent of the $4.5-billion Malampaya deep water gas-to-power project.
