Three Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) terrorists and two Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) militants were killed in separate encounters with government troops on Sunday.
Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr., commander of the Western Mindanao Command (WestMinCom), said elements of Joint Task Force Basilan encountered eight ASG members under sub-leader Pasil Bayali at Sitio Kura-Kura, Barangay Baiwas, Sumisip, Basilan on Sunday morning.
