Tighten guard vs Indian variant, govt urged

SEN. Sherwin Gatchalian on Wednesday called on the government to tighten its guard against the entry of the B1617 coronavirus variant blamed for India’s worst Covid-19 outbreak.

The Department of Health (DoH) on Tuesday reported the detection of the Indian variant in two overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) with no travel history to India.
