Sachs’ ‘The Ages of Globalization’

“One day there will be no borders, no boundaries, no flags and no countries and the only passport will be the heart” – Carlos Santana

GLOBALIZATION, a term, born a century before, has become this century’s byword. Its first use applied to the economy when flows of goods and services, capital, and labor from different national economies were becoming integrated into what was referred to as a global market. Today, globalization has become applicable to a host of other references, including global culture, global society, global community, global ideas, global beliefs, global citizenship and global education.
