Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III leads the signing of the implementing guidelines on the partnership of DoLE, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) on the hiring of contract tracers under the Tulong Hanap Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged /Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program on May 1, Labor Day, at the DOLE Central Office in Intramuros, Manila.Secretary Bello has initiated the hiring of contact tracers via DoLE’s Tupad program not only to help cushion the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the informal sector workers but also to augment the government’s efforts in containing the spread of the coronavirus disease. DoLE Undersecretary for Regional Operations, Labor Standards, and Special Concerns Ana Dione (left) and Undersecretary for Employment and General Administration Renato Ebarle signed the guidelines along with the labor chief.
