Peso strengthens to nearly 3-month high

The Philippine peso recorded its strongest finish in nearly three months after returning to the P47:$1 territory on Thursday.

Opening at P48:$1, the local unit gained 4 centavos to end at P47.98:$1, its strongest since its P47.93:$1 close last February 15.
