THERE are several people wanting to be president in 2022 as if it is a popularity contest just like every presidential election. But 2022 is vastly different from 2010 and 2016 because of the pandemic.
The election in 2010 was defined by the death of the democratic icon, former president Corazon “Cory” Aquino. Election 2016 was throwing the playbook with the infamous switch and late entry of the mayor from Davao City, who was not the subject of opposition research and became a scrambling tackle as he gained strength purely on a 90-day campaign strategy.
